Beyond the Sky - Dwarf Bearded Iris

Beyond the Sky pairs violet-blue blooms with broad wine-coloured spots that give its falls a striking depth of colour. Marigold-to-cream beards add a warm contrast, while a slight musky fragrance brings another layer of interest to this midseason-to-late dwarf iris.

Variety details: Standard dwarf bearded iris (SDB); mid violet-blue standards; matching style arms with grey edges; mid violet-blue falls with a large mid-wine spot covering two-thirds of the centre and short violet-blue darts beside the beard; beards grey-marigold in the throat, light marigold in the middle and cream at the ends, with hairs based mid violet-blue; slight musky fragrance. Paul Black, 2013; midseason to late bloom (ML); 33 cm. Introduced by Mid-America in 2013.
