FAQs
When will my order be sent?
We pick and dispatch orders at the beginning of the week to enable speedy delivery with Australia Post (weather permitting). You will receive an email with your Australia Post tracking number when your parcel has been posted. We do not pick during the bloom period (Oct/Nov), but orders can still be placed. These orders will be sent in November/December/January each year.
Please contact us if you would like your order at a specific time or include your request in the comments section when ordering.

How much does postage cost?

My order is a gift. Can you include a card for me?
If you are purchasing the plants as a gift to be sent directly to the recipient, please be sure to let us know in the notes section so we can black out the cost of the items before sending. We can also include a card - don't forget to tell us your message to be written on the card.
Do irises die back in the winter?
Iris plants are evergreen. However in the winter months iris foliage will brown off if exposed to frost and wind. Daylilies can be evergreen, semi-dormant or dormant.
Details are listed on each of our daylily descriptions.
How long can my iris rhizomes be left out of the ground?
Ideally your iris rhizomes should be replanted immediately after lifting. However, being very tough plants they can be left out of the ground in a cool place for several weeks provided they are kept completely dry.
This is what makes bearded iris very suitable plants to post.
Do you have feedback for us?
At Sunshine Iris Nursery we really appreciate all feedback, good and not so good. It helps us to provide better plants and service for you! Please let us know if you are not happy with any aspect of your order and we will do our best to solve the problem.
Alternatively, we'd love you to let us know your beautiful plants are happy in their new home. We also greatly appreciate any photos of your iris and daylily plants and with your permission will show them to other gardening lovers through our Facebook page.
